About The Art Deal<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

An independent art initiative that follows contemporary art into a technological age, between Vietnam and Switzerland, Germany and Austria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Art Deal began in Saigon, where Taam Nguyen Cao and a small circle of friends shared a simple wish to make art easier to find. Since 2017 we have curated and produced exhibitions with Vietnamese artists, from painting and sculpture to work that speaks through code and AI, and today we continue this journey from Winterthur, near Zurich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Art is now made with code, data and machines that learn, yet the word “contemporary” is still defined in only a few cities. Many Vietnamese artists who work with technology remain unseen by European audiences, and art spaces in Switzerland, Germany and Austria have few direct paths to Saigon’s independent scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We try to build those paths. A live map shows where art is happening, an interview series listens to artists who work with technology, and exhibitions such as console.log(“Bon voyage”) (Saigon, 2025) make room for the questions that technology leaves behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our work is for artists, independent art spaces, foundations and cultural funds in both regions. The Art Deal is non-commercial, and each project grows together with a host institution or a grant partner.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
